Redevelopment of the McGill Street Precinct, Lewisham

Planning Ingenuity worked closely with the project team and was able to secure firstly concept approval via the Planning Assessment Commission and then development approval for the complete redevelopment of this site via the Sydney East JRPP. The site sits within the McGill Street Precinct under the Marrickville DCP with a key driver of the upzoning of the land being the extension of the light rail system from Lilyfield, past the site and to Dulwich Hill. The development transformed the outdated industrial lands and delivered some 300+ apartments to the locality, new parklands and public domain improvements, new street connections and pedestrian links between Lewisham Town Centre and the light rail station adjoining the site.
