Master Plan redevelopment—Cyprus Club, Stanmore
In collaboration with Kennedy and Associates Architects and RJK Architects, Planning Ingenuity have developed an Urban Design Analysis and Master Plan for the redevelopment of the Cyprus Club and adjoining land at Stanmore. The Master Plan started with a site and context analysis and incorporated the needs of the existing Club to accommodate new mixed use buildings including a new Club premises and retail and community space, a new public plaza, shop top housing and a variety of medium density buildings throughout the site with basement parking and new public laneways. The Master Plan included input from an arborist and traffic consultants and will require an aeronautical engineering safety assessment. The project requires negotations with Ausgrid for the acquisition and relocation of a substation and a Controlled Activity Permit from Sydney Airports for a variation to the Obstacle Limitation Surface. An application for a Planning Proposal is currently under assessment. The next phases of the project will involve a site-specific Development Control Plan including character and building typologies, pedestrian and vehicle movement networks and sustainability commitments.
