Troy Loveday

Principal Planner

Troy is a Principal Planner at Planning Ingenuity and prior to joining the team in June 2021, worked for more than five years as a policy manager at both the Property Council of Australia and the Housing Industry Association. These roles involved writing detailed submissions on major planning reforms impacting members of those bodies and coordinating the activities of several policy committees.

Between 2011 and 2016, Troy was employed at the Department of Planning and Environment as a project manager to case manage significant planning projects and key account management and worked closely with the Department’s Regional Planning teams. Between 2007 and 2011, Troy worked as a senior policy adviser to a member of the Australian Parliament working in the areas of policy development and communications. Troy has worked for more than 10 years in local government as a statutory planner assessing major development proposals.

Troy is a full member of the Planning Institute of Australia and holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a Master of Philosophy (Architecture) from the University of Sydney.
