Fergus Freeney

Senior Planner

Fergus joined Planning Ingenuity in 2018 as a senior planner with 10 years of local government planning experience. Prior to joining the team Fergus developed his knowledge of the NSW planning system working on a range of development applications at Blacktown City Council in western Sydney and Waverley Municipal Council in the eastern suburbs. These roles allowed him to work on small scale, inner city developments up to large scale redevelopments on green field sites in the North West Growth Centre.

Before moving to Australia Fergus worked at the London Borough of Camden Council in the UK for 8 years. During this time he assessed many complex and challenging applications across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors involving heritage, design and amenity issues.

Fergus graduated from University College London with a BSc in Urban Planning, Design and Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Town Planning.
